Here's the scene.
We parents are gathered outside of the school to pick up our kids on the last day of school. The kids are getting done early, 10:00 a.m. and most are heading from there to Waldameer for a school picnic. We are all chatting about summer plans and whether storms will ruin the picnic or not.
Then we hear it...
The sound of stampeding kids, sooooooo excited to dart out of the building for the last time this year. They are cheering and run to their parents with smiles and more cheering.
Do you remember that feeling? The joy of the last day of school? Looking forward to summer in a way that only a child can?
Watching the kids experience that emotions was almost as good as living it myself!
I love this post!! It took me back to my childhood and how much I loved summer vacations!!
